TriStar Southern Hills Medical
Center is a professionally supervised Phase II Cardiac Rehabilitation program
to help people recover from heart attacks, heart surgery, and Percutaneous
cardiac intervention procedures such as stenting and angioplasty. The Program consists of a monitored exercise,
diet instructions, disease management, education and counseling services to
help patients increase physical fitness, reduce cardiac symptoms, and reduce
risk of future heart problems. The
program will help the patient improve their quality of life and increase
knowledge about heart disease and self-management.
Any Doctor can refer a patient
for Cardiac Rehab. The referring doctor
will receive reports regarding their patient progress and an individualized
treatment plan will be developed for each patient. A doctor will be available in the adjoining
area during exercise sessions.
