TriStar Southern Hills Posts Historic Record

Historic milestones are being set here on campus!  Below is a press release sent out last week.

(Nashville, TN) - July 20, 2012   - TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center treated a record number of emergency patients who came to the hospital by way of EMS providers in June of 2012.  TriStar Southern Hills has been posting record results in its emergency department in the past couple of years.  “The strong growth we have seen is the result of substantial changes we have made ,” said Thomas Ozburn, chief executive officer of the hospital.  The team at TriStar Southern Hills credits part of this historic record to the relationships they have built with area EMS providers. 

“Most recently, we earned our advanced primary stroke center certification from Joint Commission.”  The hospital was the first in the area to use telestroke technology in its treatment of stroke patients last year.  “In the treatment of stroke, time is so critical.  Truly, seconds matter.  Telestroke technology allows us to get a patient in front of a neurologist very quickly, regardless of which campus that neurologist is on.  Without having to commute, the physician is able to see the patient and measure vitals and conduct an exam through this technology.” 

Other changes at the hospital during the past year include a new emergency physicians group and a strong commitment to patient safety and customer service.  “We are committed to providing the best level of care to the community we serve.  Whenever possible, we want our patients to be able to receive treatment here, close to where they live and work,” said Ozburn.

In addition to its designation as an Advanced Primary Stroke Center, TriStar Southern Hills is also an Accredited Chest Pain Center.

Cane Ridge Now Open

TriStar Medical Group @ Cane Ridge is officially open!  Care will be provided by Dr. Chris Holloway, Dr. Rozmond Lewis, and Jonathon Lee (NP).  The facility is located next to the Publix off of Murfreesboro Pike just past Mount View Road.  Check out the pics below.

Free Chik-fil-A & singing competition Tuesday

In honor of the 4th, we will be holding a patriotic singing competition in the Holmes Atrium.  Ice cream and Chik-fil-A will be served beginning at 11am with the singing competition beginning at 12pm.  Hope to see you there!
